Struggling with Back Pain? We’ve Got a Therapy Bundle to help You

Seems like almost everyone’s got a back pain story or back injury at some point.

Low back pain and what causes it can be tricky to identify, even for the Physio’s. One way to fix it is to decompress the muscles groups around the lower back area which can pull, get tighter and cause tightness over time, this eventually leads to a muscle spasm, minor tears or something much worse like bulging discs or hip impingements.

One thing is clear to anyone who has had a back injury for any significant length of time – it hurts.  And you would do anything to fix it.

So what starts of a low back injury?

The biggest reasons we see coming through SALT for low back pain are:

  1. Sitting or not moving for long periods of time – usually at desk
  2. Driving long distance or driving for a long time
  3. Old sports injury
  4. Car accidents – old or new
  5. Not moving enough, especially as you age

These are the common issue we see daily. While every case is unique however there are commonalities.

Pain is felt in the lower back.

The Lower Back is not the issue, it’s where the nerves are catching the pain or ‘feeling the pull’. Your hip flexors (on the top of your quad going to the knee) can be tight and will pull your lower back muscles. Your glutes, especially the medial glute and the top part of your glute (just below your lower back) are not loose. Your hip mobility in general is poor which makes you inflexible, which leads to pain in your lower back.

So how can SALT help fix this for you?

Our Therapy combo to dissolve lower back pain.

We've got a back-pain killer combo treatment at SALT that might just be what your back is begging for. This combination is something else. It includes a I hr Deep Tissue Massage paired with a 1 hr Floatation Therapy session.

This isn’t your fluffy day spa massage either. Deep Tissue Massage goes deep — to the point it is often not enjoyable – until afterwards. It’s all about reaching those stubborn knots muscles and connective tissues that are holding onto all that pain. Working out those tough knots help reduce inflammation, which means less pain and more mobility for you.

Then comes a Floatation Therapy — It’s Like Zero Gravity for Your Spine. After loosening up with the massage, you’ll jump into our huge floatation pod. This lets you float effortlessly. you feel almost weightless, giving your back a much-needed break from gravity’s constant pull.

This is what real de-compressing feels like. It’s relaxation on a whole new level for your lower back. Putting these two therapies together is like hitting the refresh button for your back. The massage tackles the nitty-gritty physical knots, while floatation therapy gives your mind (and spine) a chill-out session. It’s a win-win for alleviating low back pain and reducing physical stress in the muscles.

Initially you may need a few sessions to get all the knots out. If you are not seeing results (that last) in 2-3 sessions, you may have bigger issues that need to be resolved Book your session and find out why this combo might just be your back’s new best friend.

If you have health insurance (Laya or Irish Life) it is redeemable.
