When it comes to experiencing the full benefits of float therapy at SALT Float & Recovery Suites, you might be wondering, "What should I wear to a salt float therapy session?"
The answer might surprise you—it's less about fashion and more about comfort!
Go Au Naturel or Suit Up?
Most float therapy veterans recommend floating in the nude. Why? Because clothing can distract from the sensory-deprivation experience by pressing against your skin, especially in the super-saturated Epsom salt water. But worry not! Each float pod at SALT is in a private room, ensuring your comfort and privacy.
If stripping down isn't your cup of tea, opting for a swimsuit works just as well. Choose a suit that’s comfortable and not too tight—think more "relaxation in the spa" and less "ready for a swim meet." Remember. All suites are fully private.
What About Accessories?
Keep it simple and leave jewellery, watches, fitness bracelets and hair accessories behind to avoid any distractions and protect your items from the salt water, which can be harsh on metals and other materials.
Footwear: Yay or Nay?
Inside the floatation tank, you'll be barefoot to ensure nothing comes between you and the silky smooth experience of the saltwater. But for walking around our facilities, we recommend bringing along a pair of flip-flops or slippers or we also provide these.
Eyewear?
For those who wear glasses or contacts, we suggest removing them during your session. Don't worry about not seeing clearly—your session is about disconnecting from the visual stimuli of the outside world.
Ensuring Your Comfort
At SALT, everything from towels to earplugs and natural body wash is provided to ensure your session is as comfortable and relaxing as possible.
You can also use our ‘Chill Out’ Suite to dry your hair, have some tea & chats with a friend even!
